By car:

Eger is easily accessible from the M3 motorway and the M25 road. Budapest is about 1 hour away.

When you reach the city, drive along road M25 and turn right before the overpass , 300 meters from there and you have got to us.

By public transport:

The train station is about 3 kms away, a taxi will take you here for a maximum of HUF 2,000, but

public transport is also quite good. All local buses that stop at the station

come to our direction. You have to get off at the Posta stop, only 5 minutes away is our house.

The bus station is about a 10-minute walk away, or 1 stop by local bus in the direction of the Post Office

and just a 5-minute walk from there.

We provide parking for our guests in public areas. We can show you a free option for all the cars.

Check-in time is 14:00, check-out time is 11:00. If you  arrive before2 p.m , we are happy to store your luggage and until the room  is ready you can relax in our Zen garden or even enjoy  our Private Spa relaxing services and our colleagues are at your disposal for any request or question.

Check-out from the rooms is until 11:00 a.m. If you leave Eger later than the check-out time, of course

we will help you store your luggage, and you can also use the Private Spa.

We are happy to provide you with the option of early check-in or late check-out depending on the occupancy of our house. Our reception colleagues will be there to help you with such requests. An additional fee may be charged for late check out.

We offer a buffet breakfast between 08:00 and 10:00 in the hotel lobby. If the price of the room you booked does not include breakfast,

you can use this service for an extra fee.

All rooms, studios and apartments of Margaréta Garden Eger are air-conditioned, individually adjustable.

A smoke-free environment is provided for the health of our guests. Smoking is only allowed in the designated inner garden areas. Should this rule be ignored, there will be a cleaning surcharge of  HUF 10,000 for rooms, in the case of studios and suites HUF 15,000.

The Garden Bar is open in the warmer months, from May to September.

On weekends and during the high season, we invite you to a Grill Party, where fresh homemade dishes can be tasted.

At other times,  you are waited by the offer of our partner restaurant, Trifla Ivó és Konyha.

Margaréta Garden Eger welcomes our guests with their pets. We are a truly pet-friendly hotel, size and breed do not matter! A surcharge is charged for pets per night. Please inquire about prices at the reception.

Unfortunately, the facilities of the house do not make wheelchair accessibility possible.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all guest rooms and common areas for our guests.

Margaréta Garden Eger currently has a total of 8 rooms, studios and apartment. We will be opening more rooms soon, but that is still a secret.. More information about our different room categories can be found here.

Margaréta Garden Eger has been welcoming its guests since 2001.

Initially with 3 rooms named Margaréta Vendégház, then after several  expansions, construction and renovation, it acquired its current form in 2019, now a boarding house/pension category with 4 stars. We are aiming even higher, but that is a project for the future …

Margaréta Garden is located in a calm, quiet street in downtown Eger, just 800 meters from Dobó square. The most important sights of Eger, such as the Castle, the Turkish Bath, the Thermal Bath and even the Szépasszony-valley can be reached with a short walk. Thanks to the excellent location of our house the historic streets of Eger are easy to discover for our guests.

The answer is of course yes! We welcome you with a venue for smaller, max. around 20 people

family and friendly gatherings,  team builders,  Bachelor and Bachelorette parties “before the Big Day” or cozy weddings. You can find more information here.

Our guests are welcome at the Private Spa section of our hotel located on the ground floor, with a Jacuzzi/hot tub, a  traditional Finnish sauna, a massage shower and a Himalayan salt relaxation area. There is no gym at your disposal. The wellness department is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m, it is private, therefore registration is required and can be used for an extra fee.
