Arrival and parking
How do we get to Margaréta Garden?
Our address is Vitkovics utca 2, 3300 Eger, Hungary. By car, you can reach Eger via the M3 motorway and M25 expressway. Use the map on our contact page to plan your current route.
If you are arriving by train or bus, we are happy to help you plan local transport and the final part of your journey. Contact details and directions
Where can we park?
Public parking is available in the surrounding area. We can also help you find a free parking option. Please ask us before arrival for current directions and information about local parking arrangements.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 11:00. If you need different arrival or departure arrangements, please contact us in advance.
Can we request early check-in or late check-out?
This depends on occupancy and room availability, so please arrange it with us in advance. Late check-out may incur an additional charge; we will confirm the terms when you enquire.
Can you store our luggage?
Yes. If you arrive early or plan to spend more time in Eger after check-out, we can help store your luggage. Please tell us when you would like to drop it off or collect it.
Rooms and comfort
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Yes. All our rooms, studios and apartments have individually controlled air conditioning.
Is Wi-Fi free?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available to our guests in the rooms and shared spaces.
Where is smoking permitted?
All indoor areas and guest rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only in the designated areas of the inner garden.
A cleaning surcharge applies if this rule is not respected: HUF 10,000 for rooms and HUF 15,000 for studios and suites.
Is the property wheelchair accessible?
Due to the layout of the property, we cannot offer wheelchair-accessible accommodation. Please discuss any specific mobility or access requirements with us before booking.
Is room service available?
Room service is not currently available. During your stay, please ask about the Garden Bar & Snack selection and available light bites.
Breakfast and dining
When and where is breakfast served?
Our buffet breakfast is served in the lobby between 08:00 and 10:00. If it is not included in your accommodation offer, it is available at an additional charge.

Is there a restaurant on site?
Garden Bar & Snack offers drinks, snacks and light bites. For lunch or dinner, we are happy to recommend nearby Trifla Ivó és Konyha. Contact the restaurant directly for its current menu and table reservations.
Staying with your dog
Can we bring our dog?
Yes, dogs of all sizes and breeds are welcome. We provide bowls and a Doggy Box. If you are bringing more than one dog, please discuss your room choice with us in advance.
What is the pet supplement, and how do we add our dog?
The pet supplement is HUF 3,000 per dog per night. Enter the number of dogs in the second step of the online booking process, under additional services.
Can our dog stay alone in the room?
Please discuss this with us before arrival so we can take your dog’s habits and the comfort of other guests into account.
Private spa and wellness
What does the wellness area offer? Is there a gym?
The ground-floor private spa offers a whirlpool bath, Finnish sauna, hydromassage shower and Himalayan salt relaxation area. There is no gym.

How do we book a spa session?
Spa use requires an advance reservation and is available exclusively to overnight guests. Current opening hours are 08:00–21:30; available sessions are shown in the online booking system.
How much is a private spa session?
Private Spa costs HUF 15,000 and Love Spa costs HUF 22,000. Both packages cover one 80-minute session for two people. Love Spa also includes scattered rose petals and a bottle of chilled sparkling wine.

The guesthouse and local experiences
How many rooms are there?
You can choose from 10 rooms, studios, apartments and boutique suites. Sizes, locations and amenities vary, so please explore the individual descriptions before booking.
When did Margaréta Garden first open?
We have welcomed guests since 2001. Starting with three rooms as Margaréta Vendégház, the property developed through extensions and renovations. A major transformation into today’s Margaréta Garden took place in 2019.
Who designed the interiors?
The interiors were designed by interior designer Mariann Miklovicz. The individual character of the rooms and their details gives the guesthouse its distinctive atmosphere.
What is there to see nearby?
We are in a quiet street in central Eger, around 800 metres from Dobó Square. The guesthouse makes a good base for city walks, cultural visits, baths and wine tastings. Distances vary by destination, and we are happy to help plan your routes.
Can we hold an event at the property?
Yes. We host smaller weddings, family celebrations, gatherings and team getaways for around 20 people in spring and autumn. We do not host events during the summer. Dates and arrangements are always discussed in advance.
