How to approach

Eger can be approached by car, direct coach and train from different parts of Hungary. From Budapest trains leave for Eger from Keleti railway station.

By road:

From Budapest:
On motorway M3 to Füzesabony, then road 3 and 25.

From Szeged:
Road 5, motorway M5 and M3 to Füzesabony and then road 3 and 25.

From Slovakia:
Road 25.

Public transport in Eger

The railway station is 1 km south of the centre (our guesthouse is about 20 minutes from the station on foot, if you take a bus from there, get off at the post office), the coach station is in the centre, near the basilica (the guesthouse is 10 minutes from it on foot) .
Local transport is done by buses.
